Jobwaver Privacy Policy
V1 draft for launch preparation. Last updated August 19, 2026. This page is a product/legal foundation and is not legal advice.
Account and profile information
When you create an account, Jobwaver may collect account details such as your name, email address, authentication information, and session-related data needed to operate the service.
Candidate profile information may include contact details, location, career summary, links you choose to provide, work authorization answers, sponsorship answers, availability, and other job-search preferences.
Resumes and career information
Jobwaver stores resumes and uploaded documents you provide so they can be used for resume review, job matching, application preparation, and application recordkeeping.
Structured career information may include skills, employment history, education, projects, certifications, languages, reusable application answers, and job-specific application answers.
Job-search and application data
Jobwaver stores job preferences, saved jobs, dismissed jobs, selected resumes, application records, status history, and related proof or preparation records when those features are used.
Job data may come from third-party sources and can change after it appears in Jobwaver.
Gmail integration
If you connect Gmail, Jobwaver uses the current Gmail readonly integration to support job-application tracking features. The current implementation can retrieve bounded message metadata and snippets for potential job-search messages.
Gmail signals do not automatically confirm application statuses. Jobwaver does not claim a submission, interview, rejection, offer, or response unless it is supported by candidate action, admin verification, or a verified integration workflow.
Service providers and cookies
Jobwaver uses service providers for authentication, database storage, file storage, hosting, and related product infrastructure.
Cookies and similar technologies may be used for authentication sessions, security, and optional integrations such as OAuth state and token handling.
Security
Jobwaver uses access controls, server-side authorization checks, private storage patterns, and row-level security policies designed to keep candidate data scoped to the correct account and workspace.
No online service can guarantee absolute security. Candidates should use strong passwords and avoid uploading information they do not want processed by the service.
Retention and candidate control
Candidate-provided data remains candidate-controlled within the product features available. Sensitive legal, immigration, demographic, background, compensation, and signature-related answers should come from the candidate or explicit candidate approval.
Retention and deletion procedures will continue to mature before public launch. Candidates may request deletion or correction through the published support channel once available.
Changes and legal review
This policy may be updated as Jobwaver adds features, service providers, or public launch processes. Material changes should be reflected in the published policy.
This V1 policy is a product foundation and should receive final legal review before public launch.
